An allergy does not decide whether you can have TRT. It decides which formulation is suitable for you, and that is a decision your doctor makes. Please tell us about any allergy before your first order so your prescription can be written accordingly.
What carries each injectable medication
Injectable testosterone is suspended in an oil, and the oil differs by product:
- Testosterone Cypionate – cottonseed oil. It also contains benzyl benzoate and benzyl alcohol as a preservative.
- Testex Prolongatum – olive oil. Not suitable if you have an olive or olive oil allergy. It also contains benzyl alcohol.
- Sustanon 250 – arachis oil, which is peanut oil. Not suitable if you have a peanut allergy.
If you have a peanut allergy, Sustanon is not an option for you, but Cypionate, Testex, Clomid and testosterone cream are all fine. If you have an olive allergy, Testex is not an option.
Testosterone cream
Testosterone cream is not carried in an oil, so none of the allergy rules above apply to it.
Soy
No product we supply contains soy.
Tell us before your first order
If you have any allergy – particularly to peanuts, olives or any oil – please tell us before your first order, and before any change to your medication. Email trt@manual.co or call 020 4538 8411, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00. We will make sure your doctor has it on file before anything is prescribed.
If you think you are having a reaction to an injection, rather than asking about a known allergy, that is a side effect question. If you have a tight throat, swelling of your lips or face, hives, gasping or struggling to speak a full sentence, call 999 or go to A&E now.
