How quickly someone feels the benefits of TRT can vary from person to person. Some people notice changes within the first few weeks while for others it can take longer. It can take up to six months for TRT to reach its full effect so it is important to give your body time to adjust.
Once you've started treatment, we check in regularly to make sure everything is moving in the right direction. After around five weeks you'll receive a short questionnaire about how you're feeling. If at that point you report side effects or feel you're not noticing any improvements, we'd arrange a blood test. You'd then have a follow up call with your doctor who can discuss the results with you and adjust your plan if needed. You'd also have a monitoring blood test three months into treatment so we can keep a close eye on your progress.
If you’d like some additional support, we’d be very happy to arrange a free call with one of our TRT Advisors. They’re not clinicians but they’ve been through TRT themselves and can offer guidance, reassurance, and first-hand insight into what to expect during the early stages of treatment.
