How do I apply Testosterone Cream?

Testosterone Cream is applied to the skin, once or twice daily as prescribed. We supply it as a 150mg/ml, 30ml bottle with a 0.3ml pump, which normally lasts about a month. You may have seen it referred to previously as Versabase, which is the cream base that carries the testosterone through the skin.

How to apply it

• Apply it to clean, dry, unbroken skin on your shoulders, upper arms or abdomen.
• Avoid the genitals and any broken skin.
• The cream dries in three to five minutes. Please wait until it is completely dry before dressing.
• Wash your hands immediately after applying it.

Avoiding transfer to another person

Skin-to-skin contact before the cream has dried can transfer testosterone to someone else, including a partner or a child. To prevent this, please wash your hands after applying it, cover the area with clothing once it is dry, and shower before any close contact.

If you miss a dose

Apply it as soon as you remember, on the same day. Please do not double your dose the following day.

Before a blood test

Take your sample 12 hours after your last application, which may mean missing one application. Cream on the skin affects a finger-prick sample, so you will have a venous test at a clinic or with a nurse rather than a finger-prick kit.
